The Board of Directors and Staff of Habitat for Humanity-GTR are thrilled to welcome our NEW Executive Director, Pam Doty-Nation. Pam joins our affiliate from Habitat-Kent County in Grand Rapids where she served as Executive Director for nearly 11 years and was widely credited by area leaders for taking that affiliate to a new level.

Under Pam’s leadership, the Kent County Habitat affiliate grew from an organization with a staff of six in 1999 that built about 13 homes a year. It now is the largest Habitat affiliate in the state, with a staff of 45 that will oversee the construction of 40 homes in 2010. The Kent County chapter has built 285 homes in its 26-year history. In recent years, Pam has earned praise for emphasizing environmentally-friendly and energy efficient building techniques that has led to 50 area Habitat homes being LEED-certified and she looks forward to bringing green building ideas to HFH-GTR.

Pam and her husband Steve are looking forward to enjoying the year-round outdoor activities that Traverse City has to offer. In their free time they like to kayak, scuba dive, bike, cross country ski and snow shoe. Pam is a blessing to this affiliate and we couldn’t be more excited to work with her and learn from her. Please help us welcome Pam to our affiliate by sending her an email at: pdotynation@habitatgtr.org
